The Haida Gwaii Museum is seeking one post-secondary student to assist in Collections. The successful candidate will work closely with the Collections Manager in caring for collections, exhibition installation and maintenance, tours/interpretation, and a variety of other tasks. The position runs May 15 through August 03, 2018 with possibility of extension through end of August.
The successful applicant will be a hard-working, dynamic self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment. They will bring good research skills, a high degree of computer literacy, an ability to maintain accuracy, effective interpersonal and organizational skills, and excellent written and spoken English language skills. The successful candidate must be physically able to lift and move heavy items.

The position is open only to applicants between the ages of 15 and 30, who have attended school full time last year and intend to return to school full time next year. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. All qualified applicants with disabilities, visible minorities are encouraged to apply for the position. Preference will be given to qualified candidates of Haida ancestry.
Wage is $ 16.00 per hour for 35 hours per week.
