Saahlinda Naay the Haida Gwaii Museum is seeking an All-Islands Food Strategist to develop a plan for increased Haida Gwaii food independence.
ABOUT THE FUTURE OF FOOD ON HAIDA GWAII: Over the next year, a team of food enthusiasts will lead a community engagement process to create “Future of Food on Haida Gwaii—an all-Islands Food Strategy.” This vision of a food independent Haida Gwaii started by seeking wise council; listening to the Elders, youth, knowledge keepers, farmers and processors from all-Island communities. TIMELINE & NUMERATION
The food strategist is a 10-month term position (with the possibility of extension) that will begin in mid-October. The coordinator will work 25-35 hours per week, wage to commensurate with experience.
