Oral History of Haida Gwaii

Bringing together two ways of knowing Haida Gwaii’s ancient past: Haida oral histories and recent discoveries in geology and archaeology. Many supernatural beings referred to in Haida histories are connected to natural events that occurred thousands of years ago. These include Raven, Kulgajaad (Ice Woman), Foam Woman, and Djilaqons.
