10th Annual Gala & Art Auction

Our 10th Annual Gala & Art Auction was held December 13, 2024 and was a huge success again!

Our gross revenue was $53,558.50! We paid $18,550 to contributing artists, and $15,096.02 to local service providers. We are very proud to contribute to the local economy in what is typically a slow season on Haida Gwaii.

Massive shout-out to Jason Bailey for your auctioneering skills! You kept the energy up  and the rapid-fire technique got us through the 112 art pieces up for bid!

Haawa to Sasha, who kept us hopping with your sax skills and DJ music during the breaks.

Gather Food, as always, served up a beautiful menu that kept patrons satisfied, with additional desserts from Sandy and Allison Alsop, and Alex Rinfret’s signature cookies as a take-away.

We couldn’t make this possible without the amazing volunteers – Simon Davies, Billy Yovanovich, Jessica Robinson, Natalia Mondi, Mabel Moses, Matthew Peck, Caterina Stewart, Leanne Edenshaw, Kim-ly Thompson, Ethan Gladstone, Brenda Edenshaw, Preston Sloan, Julien Braun and Flavien Mabit. Board members – Norman Sloan, Lisa Pineault, John Gladstone, Tayler Brown and Melissa Paugh.
