Every Thing Matters

EVERYTHING MATTERS showcases work of artist, Simon Davies’, twenty-year studio practice. The pieces on display are crafted from the found objects that Davies has collected during his walks through the forests, along the beaches, and around the towns of Haida Gwaii.

These walks have not only honed Davies’ eye but have also given him a distinctive ability to combine seemingly unrelated materials into small sculptures that offer a unique and thought-provoking reflection of our world and our place within it. Viewers have described the resulting pieces as uncanny, surprising and different.
